The big brown bat is a relatively large bat with a a brown body and distinct black wings, ears and face. They  are the largest bat found in Alabama and one of the bats most frequently known to nest within homes.  They enter attics, barns, and other man made structure during the day in order to sleep and can carry diseases with them.
